Invest In A Laundry Folding Board – It’s Worth It

Invest In A Laundry Folding Board – It’s Worth It

Laundry Folding Board Benefits

You know that feeling when your laundry is all folded and put away and your hamper is empty? That’s one of the best feelings there is. What’s less fun is the actual process of getting to that step. Enter the laundry folding board.

A laundry folding board won’t work for every item of clothing, but if you often wear t-shirts and long sleeve shirts, it is an essential investment. Pants are also easily folded on these boards if you don’t prefer to hang them. It’s a great way to save time and effort! You can make sure that your shirts and pants aren’t wrinkled and it helps compact your clothing if you are working with limited closet or dresser space. We have also found these to be useful for packing shirts you’d normally have on a hangar when you’re filling your suitcase for your next trip. (Looking for the best time to buy plane tickets? Check out that link!)

Below are the ones we recommend at a few different price points. The more expensive ones are a bit more sturdy which we found to be helpful. Get yours today – you won’t regret it.

Song of the Day: High for This (The Weeknd Cover) – Ellie Goulding

Song of the Day: High for This (The Weeknd Cover) – Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding’s cover of The Weeknd’s “High for This” is one that I think fell under the radar for many a few years back so we wanted to bring it back to the light. Originally released only as a bonus track on the UK special edition of her album Halcyon, Ellie takes “High for This” to an entirely new level with her unique voice. This cover was produced by Xaphoon Jones, who we just realized is the “Bang” half of Chiddy Bang and who is known for laying out some of the best instrumental backings for vocalists.

Make sure you have your bass all the way up on this one. Trust us.

Song of the Day (New Release): The Middle – Zedd

Song of the Day (New Release): The Middle – Zedd

Zedd just released his new track “The Middle” this morning featuring Maren Morris and Grey. It’s evocative of “Stay” as it carries many of the same vocal styles and a minimal instrumental chorus opening. He seems to be taking his time to learn from fellow German Hans Zimmer on how to effectively use a clock ticking sound to add a sense of pace to his tracks (yes, that time pun was 100% intentional) as he’s included this in both “Stay” and now “The Middle”. There’s no doubt this song will be a hit so enjoy it now before it gets overplayed on the radio.

Here’s what Zedd, Maren, and Grey all had to say about this new release:

We worked really hard on this record to get it just right and it feels great to be able to finally share it with everyone. It was super fun working with Maren because she is clearly an amazing singer and very talented musician. And, I always love working with Grey because we push ourselves to make the best music possible and the end result is incredible. – Zedd

I met Zedd in Nashville several weeks ago when he came to town to record my vocal for “The Middle”. My fans know that my sounds is reflective of my many influences as a songwriter and artist and I think they’ll be ecstatic to hear this collaboration with him and Grey! – Maren Morris

Some songs come really quickly and naturally, but for a while there it seemed like this song didn’t want to come out. We ran into obstacle after obstacle, but we kept fighting for it because we knew this song was special. This is also our first time working with a country singer, and the different styles ended up fitting perfectly! SO glad that we can finally share this one with you, so enjoy! – Grey

Song of the Day: Sunrise – Arty

Song of the Day: Sunrise – Arty

Arty returns to his progressive house roots after releasing most of his tracks in 2017 under his trance moniker Alpha 9. “Sunrise” definitely has a feel good vibe to it with a pre-chorus that you can’t help but sing along with. Arty released this statement about the track:

“It’s important for me to continue making the music I enjoy the most and ‘Sunrise’ definitely falls into that category. It’s both a milestone and an incredibly important track in my career as I get back to my Progressive House roots and I’m extremely excited to officially share it with my fans after successfully sneaking it into my live sets for the past few months.”

You can save it on Spotify here and listen to Arty’s remix of “I Lived” featured in Ryse Radio Ep. 4.

Song of the Day: DYSYLM – Breathe Carolina

Song of the Day: DYSYLM – Breathe Carolina

Your likely reaction: “Wait…what? That’s Breathe Carolina? The same group that got famous for ‘Blackout’ seven years ago? I don’t believe you. I thought they were more of a tween pop-punk band. Well…yeah. I guess Blackout is the only song from them I know.”

It’s all right. We had the same reaction too. DYSYLM is certainly a departure from the “Blackout” sound that everyone is familiar with, but after taking a longer listen to other tracks from them, it’s not that much of a surprise to come across this new track. Featuring a bouncy bassline and a driving, almost harsh synth, DYSYLM is a must listen/dance to.

By the way, if you’re unfamiliar with EDM shows and festivals and think all people do at them is jump up and down, check out the music video for DYSYLM below. The video almost entirely features a dancer shuffling, which is a dance style for more traditional four-on-the-floor house music (not so much for dubstep, trap, or trance). It’s not too complicated and very fun to learn. The dancer in the video is unsurprisingly very, very good at it. Our personal favorite artist to shuffle to is Oliver Heldens.
