Song of the Day: Strangers – Seven Lions & Myon & Shane 54

“Strangers” is another song that came out a few years back but I don’t think it got the attention it rightly deserves at the time. Originally produced as part of the Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack (which has some other great songs on it, like Zedd’s “Into The Lair”), “Strangers” is an bright anthem that is a perfect demonstration of Seven Lions’ unique talents and style. With all-time vocals from Tove Lo, “Strangers” is a track that should be on any older EDM playlists.

Song of the Day: All I Want For Christmas Is You (Veck Remix) – Mariah Carey

It’s tough to take on one of the most classic Christmas songs and remix it while maintaining the song’s heart, but that’s exactly what Veck managed to do with his remix of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey.

He does an incredible job of layering the bass groove synth with the lead synth while also still allowing Mariah’s classic vocals to shine through, which is tough to do when you remix a song this way.

Unfortunately, this is only the second best Christmas remix to come out recently. That top honor goes to DMX’s rendition of Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer.

Song of the Day: Kings of Summer – ayokay

While this song is a few years old and more of a summer jam than a mid-December Christmas song, it’s too good not to share and listen to if you’ve not yet heard it. “Kings of Summer” is the track that helped put ayokay on the map back in 2015 and he’s grown immensely in his production abilities since then.

I was lucky enough to see him open for Autograf and Gryffin a few months back and literally bumped into him in the crowd after his set. He’s an incredibly nice and humble guy, which is something you can almost feel come through in all of his songs.

Gift card to her favorite salon or spa – She’s worth it. If she goes already, then you get to treat her to one of her sessions. If she doesn’t go regularly, then you can treat her to a one time special event. Either way, you’re in good shape if you go with this option.
Wine club membership – One of the best parts about these memberships is that the recipient (your wonderful mother) will receive a few bottles every month for as long as you choose. So, every month, they’ll be reminded why you are the favorite child.
Subscription to a food delivery service – Grocery shopping and cooking can be a chore, but deciding what to cook can be even more tedious and frustrating. Meal delivery services help alleviate this.
