Song of the Day: Me Myself & Adderall – Lost Kings, Goody Grace

Song of the Day: Me Myself & Adderall – Lost Kings, Goody Grace

Starting off sounding like a track out of the 2000s, “Me Myself & Adderall” by the duo Lost Kings featuring vocals from the Canadian singer Goody Grace transitions with the help of a catchy hook into a pop-EDM chorus. The album art is simple, yet perfectly encapsulates (pun intended) the vibe of the song and the message over. Check it out with lyrics below.

Me Myself & Adderall – Lost Kings, Goody Grace Lyrics

Call you but I don’t know what to say
It doesn’t matter ’cause I threw it all away
Know I’m the worst because I cause you all this pain
What’s the point of hearts if all they do is break?

No, I’m not gonna sleep tonight
No, I’m not gonna breathe tonight
No, it’s not gonna be alright

Excuse me, while I fall apart
Yeah, I deserve this broken heart
Your friends were right about me all along

Know you won’t, but hope you call
‘Cause ever since you cut me off
Me, myself and Adderall is all I got, all that I got is

Tiny liquor bottles in a row
I’m seven down and I got seven more to go
I see you out in all the places that we used to go
I see you turning into someone that I used to know

No, I’m not gonna sleep tonight
No, I’m not gonna breathe tonight
No, it’s not gonna be alright

Excuse me, while I fall apart
Yeah, I deserve this broken heart
Your friends were right about me all along

Know you won’t, but hope you call
‘Cause ever since you cut me off
Me, myself and Adderall is all I got, all that I got is

Know you won’t, but hope you call
‘Cause ever since you cut me off
Me, myself and Adderall is all I got, all that I got is

Song of the Day: Returning To You (feat. Alison May) – Seven Lions & Andrew Bayer

Song of the Day: Returning To You (feat. Alison May) – Seven Lions & Andrew Bayer

Seven Lions’ newest release “Returning To You” is a progressive trance collaboration with Andrew Bayer featuring vocals from Alison May. I personally love when the first chorus of a song is really just used to set up a more expressive second chorus. In this case, the first chorus does a great job of standing alone and setting the tone, but the true emotion of the song shines through in the second chorus when the additional chords power through in the background. You can feel the influence of both artists throughout this track and it’s a nice step away from Seven Lions’ more recent releases that have been more of his melodic dubstep style.

Andrew Bayer will be opening for Seven Lions at a sold-out Red Rocks show on July 28th and they are planning to live debut this newly released track there together. Check it out!

Returning To You – Seven Lions & Andrew Bayer Lyrics

Fully committed, should I admit it or let it go?
There is a purpose, there is a cure for this
Just go slow
While I wait, remember love is worth the hurt I’m feeling
You are worth the pain
Someone say that we’ll be on the other side of this
We will find our way
We will find our way

If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die

Last night I cried
I tried to hide it from you
It won’t die if I’m always returning to you

While I wait, remember love is worth the hurt I’m feeling
You are worth the pain
Someone say that we’ll be on the other side of this
We will find our way
We will find our way

If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die

Always returning to you
Always returning to you

Song of the Day: Blue – Audien

Song of the Day: Blue – Audien

Following a slow 2020 in which Audien only released one track in “Craving”, a collaboration with ARTY, he’s back in 2021 with his second single of the year “Blue”. Launched on Armin Van Buuren’s label Armada Music, “Blue” has the melancholic aspects you’d expect from the song name, but is blended with bright synths and an uplifting melody. Hopefully, it’ll be a big second half of the year for Audien as festivals and shows continue to return.

Blue – Audien Lyrics

Someone said you’re on your way
I just hope you get there safe
I’ve been thinking about those days
I wonder what if I had stayed

Would you be falling down
Would you be stumbling down again
You know I hated that town
Wonder if you blame me now

Why’d you have to leave so soon
Still had someone left to lose
I would have been there for you
Now I all I ever see is blue

I wonder why you never moved
Cause trouble always followed you
Every time I drive back through
I think about our wasted youth

When we were falling down
When we were stumbling down together
You know I hated that town
Wonder if you blame me now

Why’d you have to leave so soon
Still had someone left to lose
I would have been there for you
Now all I ever see is blue

Why’d you have to leave so soon
Still had someone left to lose
I would have been there for you
Now all I ever see is blue

And if I ever drive back through
I’ll think about our wasted youth

Song of the Day: Taken – Zeds Dead x YULTRON

The Canadian duo Zeds Dead teamed up with the LA born YULTRON for “Taken”, a grimy blend between trap and electro-house. Released in July of 2020, “Taken” starts of with a deep bass line paired with vocals that almost make you uneasy before picking up the pace and diving into the full electronic depths. Check it out!

Taken – Zeds Dead x YULTRON Lyrics

We are the future
Where your dreams are obsolete
We are the future
Where your dreams are taken

Song of the Day: Closer – Sonny Fodera, Just Kiddin, Lilly Ahlberg

Song of the Day: Closer – Sonny Fodera, Just Kiddin, Lilly Ahlberg

Melodic house songs like “Closer” are perfect for warm summer nights and even hotter summer days. Sonny Fodera out of Australia teamed up with the British duo Just Kidding adding in vocals from the Swede Lilly Ahlberg to create the catchy, yet smooth “Closer”. Turn this one up and peep the lyrics below.

Closer – Sonny Fodera, Just Kiddin, Lilly Ahlberg Lyrics

When was the last time you thought of us?
It’s almost been a year since I thought it was love
It was the last night of summer
We had to say goodbye with only pictures of us

You and I, we made no promises
Should’ve swallowed my pride and let you in
Oh, and I tell myself I’m over it
But the moment I see you
I wanna say

Come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer
Love me like, love me like
Love me like you used to
Now I’m with you I see what I’ve been missing
So come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer

(Now I’m with you I see) Come a little bit closer
(Now I’m with you I see) Come a little bit closer
Now I’m with you I see what I’ve been missing
So come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer

You were the right one at the wrong time
Now you’re moving ’round the corner getting closer to me
I wanna face you, don’t wanna hide
And if fate is on our side then surely we’re meant to be

You and I, we made no promises
Should’ve swallowed my pride and let you in
Oh, and I tell myself I’m over it
But the moment I see you
I wanna say

Come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer
Love me like, love me like
Love me like you used to
Now I’m with you I see what I’ve been missing
So come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer

(Now I’m with you I see) Come a little bit closer
(Now I’m with you I see) Come a little bit closer
Now I’m with you I see what I’ve been missing
So come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer

Come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer
Love me like, love me like
Love me like you used to
Now I’m with you I see what I’ve been missing
So come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer

(Now I’m with you I see) Come a little bit closer
(Now I’m with you I see) Come a little bit closer
Now I’m with you I see what I’ve been missing
So come a little, come a little
Come a little bit closer
