“Butterflies”, Myon’s newest release featuring vocals from Jenn Blosil, is typical of his sound; uplifting, bright, and emotional. Myon usually teams up with partner Shane 54 to form Myon & Shane 54 (creative team name right?) and they have put out countless, beautiful progressive house tracks over the years. Separately though, they are just as talented as shown by Myon’s work in “Butterflies”. Enjoy this one!
This 2017 release from Electric Guest has a funky vibe, but it isn’t overpowered with funk with its pre-chorus breakdowns keeping things laid back. Check out the music video below featuring a hilarious Will Forte cameo at the end.
Oh devil, I know you’re afraid
Sometimes it’s hard to learn from all your mistakes
Oh devil, I’m glad that you came
Guess I should learn how to live because it won’t go away
Someone’s calling for me
Something’s calling for me again
Devil is back again
Oh I know the devil is back again
The devil is back again
So I know I’ll never look back again
Oh devil, I’m back for awhile
Till I pick up the phone, look for your number and dial
Oh devil, I made my own hell
And deep inside I’m sure I got here all by myself
Someone’s calling for me
Something’s calling for me again
Devil is back again
Oh I know the devil is back again
The devil is back again
So I know I’ll never look back again
Oh I know, same old thing, same old show
Oh I know, same old thing, so show control
Lucifer, Lu-Lucifer, Lu-Lucifer, I need your help
Song of the Day: Long Way Home (Noah Neiman vs Culture Code Remix) – Noah Neiman X Jay Bombay ft. Laci Kay
Noah Neiman and Culture Code teamed up to remix Noah’s original track “Long Way Home” that was created with Jay Bombay with a vocal feature from Laci Kay. It doesn’t stray too far stylistically from the original but adds a nice bounce to it that the original seemed to be missing. Take a listen and check out the lyrics below!
Looking for lightning, trying to spark that rush
We’ll keep on driving, but we’ll take it slow
Leaving behind us is the cloud of dust
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
Oh…oh…
Taking turns until we’re on our own
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
Where should we go?
‘Cause I got time
Never know, what I’ll find
On the road, without even trying
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
I’ll take the long way home
My heart is racing every time we touch
Oh, we’ll be tracing out the skies of gold
I’ll go the distance ’cause we’re enough
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
We’ll take the long way home
We’ll take the long way home
We’ll take the long way home
Where should we go?
‘Cause I got time
Never know, what I’ll find
On the road, without even trying
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
Taking turns until we’re on our own
When I’m with you, I’ll take the long way home
Sometimes you come across a song and it lifts you up. “Chasing You” is a simple tropical house song by all means, but there is just that something special in its chord progression and rhythm that sets it apart. A perfect summertime song, this track by Airwolf has to be included on all of your playlists.
Don’t let the smooth melodic intro confuse you, “KODI” goes pretty hard once the build-up, drop, and chorus come through. Sick Individuals, the Dutch duo, aren’t as big in the US market but they’ve been consistently putting out great tracks for years. You may remember their remix of Icona Pop’s “I Love It”.
“KODI” was endorsed before its release by Hardwell, which added to the surrounding hype behind it. If you hit any EDM festivals this summer, you’ll certainly hear it mixed into a variety of sets. Take a listen to below!
