Song of the Day: Returning To You (feat. Alison May) – Seven Lions & Andrew Bayer
Seven Lions’ newest release “Returning To You” is a progressive trance collaboration with Andrew Bayer featuring vocals from Alison May. I personally love when the first chorus of a song is really just used to set up a more expressive second chorus. In this case, the first chorus does a great job of standing alone and setting the tone, but the true emotion of the song shines through in the second chorus when the additional chords power through in the background. You can feel the influence of both artists throughout this track and it’s a nice step away from Seven Lions’ more recent releases that have been more of his melodic dubstep style.
Andrew Bayer will be opening for Seven Lions at a sold-out Red Rocks show on July 28th and they are planning to live debut this newly released track there together. Check it out!
Returning To You – Seven Lions & Andrew Bayer Lyrics
Fully committed, should I admit it or let it go?
There is a purpose, there is a cure for this
Just go slow
While I wait, remember love is worth the hurt I’m feeling
You are worth the pain
Someone say that we’ll be on the other side of this
We will find our way
We will find our way
If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die
Last night I cried
I tried to hide it from you
It won’t die if I’m always returning to you
While I wait, remember love is worth the hurt I’m feeling
You are worth the pain
Someone say that we’ll be on the other side of this
We will find our way
We will find our way
If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die
If you feel it, it won’t die
Always returning to you
Always returning to you
