Drinking out of cups
How to know which beer, wine, or cocktail glass to buy
Turning 21 in the US is the last positive “adult” milestone you’ll pass because, let’s be honest, no one is excited to turn 30. While everyone is obviously super jazzed to be able to carry a concealed weapon and get a horizontal license in some states (read: sarcasm), the main highlight of the birthday is that you’re no longer breaking the law by guzzling those cheap light beers and boxed wines.
In post-college life, however, those $12 handles of vodka and whatever-is-the-cheapest-light cases are no longer acceptable. We are “adults” now and with the “adult” responsibilities comes a need for alcohol sophistication. Combine this with shopping for new kitchenware instead of solo cups and disposable plates and you’ll find yourself at your local Pier 1 or Bed, Bath, and Beyond, asking yourself “Why would I buy this type of glass over this one?” and “What’s supposed to go in there?”. We’ve all been there.
That’s why these two videos below are so helpful. Even if you can’t afford all of this yet (student loans are fun!) you’ll at least know what to buy for your drink of choice or you can impress someone you meet at a bar (someone test that out as a pick-up line and let me know how it goes).
Enjoy!
