“‘Take Your Time’ is a very personal song about the right and wrong times in your life. It doesn’t always go the way you expect or want, but you need to be patient about things coming the way you manifest them, because eventually, the time will be right. Although the song was written back in 2020 right before COVID started, I feel it hits the nail right on the head considering the times we live in now. I really hope that ‘Take Your Time’ will resonate with the listeners and make their day a little bit brighter because we need to believe that the good days will come.”

Song of the Day: Assassin – Sultan & Shepard

The Canadian duo Sultan & Shepard released their LP Something, Everything in March 2021 and one of the most moving tracks off it comes in the form of “Assassin”. The LP as whole is slower than what you’d typically think of EDM featuring mostly instrumentals with a calming vibe that can be classified as a mix of melodic house and techno. “Something, Everything”, the track that shares the album’s namesake is another one to check out. As far as I can tell from a few Google searches, I believe this is the first time that Galantis and David Guetta have ever collaborated on a track together. “Heartbreak Anthem”, featuring vocals from Little Mix, has a perfect blend of the upbeat style Galantis is known for with the pop/lyrical expertise of David Guetta.
