Song of the Day: Brighter Side – ARTY

Song of the Day: Brighter Side – ARTY

Released on the Armada Music label, ARTY shines bright again with another emotion-evoking track in “Brighter Side”. Optimistic at heart, ARTY had been teasing this track for a few weeks before calling it a “very personal and special record” for him. He’s been touring around the US mostly recently with upcoming shows at The Gorge in Washington State on September 11th with Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records (under his Alpha 9 trance moniker) and at Sunbar in Tempe, AZ right before Halloween. Take a listen below and try to catch ARTY in person soon; he’s a must-see.

Brighter Side Lyrics – ARTY

Waking up in the wave of the darkness
Holding on so I don’t float away
Coming back from a crash is the hardest
Can you stay

Ooh ooh
You know how to hear me
Ooh ooh
You know what to say
Always there, always know where my heart is
Can you stay?

Show me light when I’m lost in the shadows
Show me life when I’m scared
Always there, that somebody to show me the brighter side

The brighter side
Know that

So much space in the way when you’re not here
Pull me through to the stars, to the place
That we go, can we go? Wanna ask you
Can you stay?

Ooh ooh
You know how to hear me
Ooh ooh
You know what to say
Always there, always know where my heart is
Can you stay?

Show me light when I’m lost in the shadows
Show me life when I’m scared
Always there, that somebody to show me the brighter side

Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
To show me the brighter side
The brighter side

To show me the brighter side

Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
To show me the brighter side

Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
To show me the brighter side
The brighter side

Somebody
Somebody
Somebody
The brighter side

Song of the Day: Back To Life – DubVision & Afrojack

DubVision and Afrojack teamed up for one of the brightest, happiest progressive house tracks you’ll ever hear in “Back To Life”. Reminiscent of early 2010’s EDM, “Back To Life” swells from simple piano chords to inspiring vocals with colorful melodic synths.

DubVision, a Dutch duo of two brothers, is known for creating progressive house tracks that contain various elements of EDM as it has changed through the years. Afrojack, another Dutch producer, has a wide range and has been able to evolve his sound and remain relevant year after year.

Back To Life – DubVision & Afrojack Lyrics

I come alive
When you’re lying next to me
You pull me up
When I can’t get on my feet
The sound of your voice
And the rapture in your eyes
Your love is the law
And you bring me back to life
Back to life

(Back to life)
(Bring me back to life)
(Back to life, back to life, back to)
(Bring me back to life)

So when I can’t speak
And life is breaking
When I feel too low
Yeah you bring me back
I’m exploding
Out of my body
Cos I’ve let go
Yeah you bring me back to life

Bring me back to life
Bring me back to life
(La la la la, la la la la, la la la la)
Bring me back to life
(La la la la, la la la la, la la la la)
Bring me back to life

You are my air
When I’m struggling to breathe
You answered the prayer
When my faith escaped belief
The sound of your voice
And the rapture in your eyes
Your love is the law
And you bring me back to life
Back to life

(Back to life)
(Bring me back to life)
(Back to life, back to life, back to)
(Bring me back to life)

So when I can’t speak
And life is breaking
When I feel too low
Yeah you bring me back
I’m exploding
Out of my body
Cos I’ve let go
Yeah you bring me back to life

Bring me back to life
Bring me back to life
(La la la la, la la la la, la la la la) (Bring me back)
(La la la la, la la la la, la la la la)
Yeah you bring me back to life

Song of the Day: End Of Days – Gareth Emery

Song of the Day: End Of Days – Gareth Emery

Gareth Emery out of the U.K. released “End of Days” in May of 2020. It tells the typical story of heartbreak and relationships falling out with soft vocals and a surprisingly bright melody despite the dark meaning. Take a listen and follow the lyrics below.

End Of Days Lyrics

It’s the last day of the year
The battle lines have disappeared
But we’re still standing here
I’ve got to walk this road alone
If only we tried face to face
Not writing on the phone

How did we fall so far
From reaching for the stars?

When the words run out
Nothing more to say
I’ll still love you
To the end of days
You can break my heart
In a thousand ways
But I’ll still love you
To the end of days

We were the greatest team on Earth
We could solve a million problems
Except how to fix this hurt
It is just the two of us
All the other hearts left broken
All the other dreams we crushed

How did we fall so far
From reaching for the stars?

When the words run out
Nothing more to say
I’ll still love you
To the end of days
You can break my heart
In a thousand ways
But I’ll still love you
To the end of days

When the ashes fall
From a blood-red sky
We’ll be forced to stand
At each other’s side
As the water flows
Wash our pain away
We’ll make our peace
Just a day too late
So we’ll turn around
Go our separate ways
And we’ll say goodbye
‘Til the end of days

Song of the Day: Take Your Time – ARTY

Song of the Day: Take Your Time – ARTY

“Take Your Time”, a single from ARTY released in January is an upbeat progressive house track with a positive message. Check out what ARTY himself had to say about it, then listen and check out the lyrics below.

“‘Take Your Time’ is a very personal song about the right and wrong times in your life. It doesn’t always go the way you expect or want, but you need to be patient about things coming the way you manifest them, because eventually, the time will be right. Although the song was written back in 2020 right before COVID started, I feel it hits the nail right on the head considering the times we live in now. I really hope that ‘Take Your Time’ will resonate with the listeners and make their day a little bit brighter because we need to believe that the good days will come.”

Take Your Time Lyrics

Saying all the right things in all the wrong moments
Feeling all the right things, but don’t know how to show it
The stars align
When it’s just right
So we can take the long road
Just don’t know where it’s going

And even if it’s not right now
Someday we’re gonna work this out
So take your time
I’ll wait it out

And even if we don’t know when
Someday we’ll make it work somehow
So take your time
I’ll wait it out
Wait it out
Wait it out

Walking on a tight rope
We keep losing our balance
Even with our eyes closed
We both know what’s gonna happen
There’ll be a sign
When it’s just right

And even if it’s not right now
Someday we’re gonna work this out
So take your time
I’ll wait it out, wait it out

And even if we don’t know when
Someday will make it work somehow
So take your time
I’ll wait it out
Wait it out
Wait it out

Wait it out
I’ll wait it out

So take your time
I’ll wait it out
Wait it out
Wait it out
