“Gold” never sticks out as an amazingly new sound or style, but it has some amazing staying power. Maybe it’s just a song that’s easy to listen to or maybe it’s the catchy vocals, but this song is one that someone makes it on to playlist after playlist. Take a few minutes and check it out.
Zedd just released his new track “The Middle” this morning featuring Maren Morris and Grey. It’s evocative of “Stay” as it carries many of the same vocal styles and a minimal instrumental chorus opening. He seems to be taking his time to learn from fellow German Hans Zimmer on how to effectively use a clock ticking sound to add a sense of pace to his tracks (yes, that time pun was 100% intentional) as he’s included this in both “Stay” and now “The Middle”. There’s no doubt this song will be a hit so enjoy it now before it gets overplayed on the radio.
Here’s what Zedd, Maren, and Grey all had to say about this new release:
We worked really hard on this record to get it just right and it feels great to be able to finally share it with everyone. It was super fun working with Maren because she is clearly an amazing singer and very talented musician. And, I always love working with Grey because we push ourselves to make the best music possible and the end result is incredible. – Zedd
I met Zedd in Nashville several weeks ago when he came to town to record my vocal for “The Middle”. My fans know that my sounds is reflective of my many influences as a songwriter and artist and I think they’ll be ecstatic to hear this collaboration with him and Grey! – Maren Morris
Some songs come really quickly and naturally, but for a while there it seemed like this song didn’t want to come out. We ran into obstacle after obstacle, but we kept fighting for it because we knew this song was special. This is also our first time working with a country singer, and the different styles ended up fitting perfectly! SO glad that we can finally share this one with you, so enjoy! – Grey
Yes, we know the last song of the day was a Tritonal remix but this remix that was released yesterday is too good not to post. Remixing “See You Again” is a tough gamble because that song is nearly perfect as is and it’s always a risk to take something universally loved and tweak it. Tritonal effectively kept the best parts of “See You Again” intact and added a new emotional layer to it with a beautiful guitar riff, quality drum samples, and energetic synths to drive the chorus home. Take a listen below as this one isn’t on Spotify yet (much like their last remix we posted).
Coming back with a more traditional progressive house, progressive trance, and overall festival feel, Ryse Radio Ep. 4 was created with that middle of the night, ready to rage feel to it. You’ll recognize some of these tracks as they have been featured as a “Song of the Day” and we mixed in a few throwback songs as well.

Heart Of The City – (Myon Signature Remix) – BRKLYN feat. Mariah McManus
I was lucky enough to see Gryffin perform this song in person awhile back and was one of the best songs of his set. A slow buildup in both rhythm and emotional culminates in a euphoric chorus that puts Gryffin’s melodic talents on display. If you ever get the chance to see Gryffin in person, I cannot recommend enough taking the opportunity. He puts on an amazing show and switches between live instruments while DJ’ing, which isn’t something many producers will do. It’s amazing to see. Enjoy this one!
