Song of the Day: See You Again (Tritonal Remix)

Song of the Day: See You Again (Tritonal Remix)

Yes, we know the last song of the day was a Tritonal remix but this remix that was released yesterday is too good not to post. Remixing “See You Again” is a tough gamble because that song is nearly perfect as is and it’s always a risk to take something universally loved and tweak it. Tritonal effectively kept the best parts of “See You Again” intact and added a new emotional layer to it with a beautiful guitar riff, quality drum samples, and energetic synths to drive the chorus home. Take a listen below as this one isn’t on Spotify yet (much like their last remix we posted).

Song of the Day: A Different Way (Tritonal Remix) – DJ Snake & Lauv

Song of the Day: A Different Way (Tritonal Remix) – DJ Snake & Lauv

We’ve never been short of appreciation for Tritonal in the past and their remix of DJ Snake’s “A Different Way” is yet another showcase of their ability to put their own beautiful touch on a track. The original chorus by DJ Snake wasn’t terrible, but in some ways it didn’t seem to fit with the soft tone of the vocals. Tritonal managed to do an incredible job of adding new synths and a new feel to the chorus to match the vocal tone and make the overall sound seem more complete. This one isn’t on Spotify yet, so take a listen below and check back for it later.

Song of the Day: I Want You (Kuur Remix) – Robotaki & Manila Killa

Song of the Day: I Want You (Kuur Remix) – Robotaki & Manila Killa

Kuur put a great future bass spin on Robotaki & Manila Killa’s “I Want You”. Keeping the ethereal vocals flowing through the verse, Kuur was able to set up a moving chorus that’s a ton of fun to vibe out to. This is definitely a kick back and feel good type song and one we had to include on an upcoming Ryse Radio episode. Listen to it below!

Song of the Day: Strangers – Seven Lions & Myon & Shane 54

Song of the Day: Strangers – Seven Lions & Myon & Shane 54

“Strangers” is another song that came out a few years back but I don’t think it got the attention it rightly deserves at the time. Originally produced as part of the Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack (which has some other great songs on it, like Zedd’s “Into The Lair”), “Strangers” is an bright anthem that is a perfect demonstration of Seven Lions’ unique talents and style. With all-time vocals from Tove Lo, “Strangers” is a track that should be on any older EDM playlists.

Song of the Day: Kings of Summer – ayokay

Song of the Day: Kings of Summer – ayokay

While this song is a few years old and more of a summer jam than a mid-December Christmas song, it’s too good not to share and listen to if you’ve not yet heard it. “Kings of Summer” is the track that helped put ayokay on the map back in 2015 and he’s grown immensely in his production abilities since then.

I was lucky enough to see him open for Autograf and Gryffin a few months back and literally bumped into him in the crowd after his set. He’s an incredibly nice and humble guy, which is something you can almost feel come through in all of his songs.
