What is a horseshoe? What does a horseshoe do? Are there any horse socks? Did I just post Ep. 10 and then immediately post Ep. 11? Is anyone listening to me?

We’re at Ep. 11. If you look back to our first episode, you’ll find it was a heavy dubstep mix, just like episode 11 is. Ep. 12 will have similar genres to Ep. 2 and so on, so you know what to expect.

Ep. 11 blends together some regular dubstep with some on the heavier side as well as the more melodic side. Put on your headbanging neckbrace and get to it.

Long overdue but Ryse Radio Ep. 6 is finally here after multiple edits and re-edits. This episode truly covers many of the EDM genres moving from a funk house sound up front to big room electro and then on to melodic bass/melodic dubstep and finally ending up with an amazing drum and bass remix. You’ll also notice there are quick a few tracks that have been previously featured as a 20-somethinglife Song of the Day like “Flooded” and “Bad At Love“. There’s a few fun surprises in how these are mixed so take a listen all the way through. We hope you enjoy this one!

You might be sick of this song by now with it’s extensive radio play. The original seemed to lack a certain energy and to me, came across as flat from verse to chorus. Slushii fixed that with his remix, adding a deeper and darker intro and verse with energetic synths. I doubt you’ll go back to listening to the original after listening to this remix.

It’s interesting to see how Marshmello’s sound has changed. This remix is the type of sound I would have expected to hear on the original from him but he kept it low key. His other new-ish track, “Wolves” with Selena Gomez, has a similar minimal energy vibe to it as compared to most of his previous work. It’s not a bad thing that his sound and style is changing, but it will surely make some fans say “I miss the old Marshmello!”.
