Ryse Radio Ep. 6

Long overdue but Ryse Radio Ep. 6 is finally here after multiple edits and re-edits. This episode truly covers many of the EDM genres moving from a funk house sound up front to big room electro and then on to melodic bass/melodic dubstep and finally ending up with an amazing drum and bass remix. Claire Ridgely adds some truly blissful vocals with lyrics that everyone can relate to. This is a great summer song, so keep that in mind as you enjoy it at the end of January.

Track of the Day: Lost (ft. Emilie Brandt) – Illenium

First off, my apologies for not having posted about Illenium’s new studio album Awake. It’s an incredible album from start to finish and really shows how he’s been able to perfect his melodic bass style. I cannot stress enough taking the time to listen through the whole album.

“Lost” comes with a more progressive house vibe with an uplifting melody off-setting some relatively darker lyrics. Emilie Brandt’s vocals shine on this track especially when they’re layered. I personally can’t wait to see this one live.
